The Annual Industrial events of MWCS and IAS to Boost Market Confidence and Facilitate Global Industrial Recovery

The leading international industry events in the Asia-Pacific region -- Metalworking & CNC Machine Tools Show 2020 (MWCS 2020) and Industrial Automation Show 2020 (IAS 2020) kick off today at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Pandemic-induced negative impact on various industries has not dampened enterprises’ intense yearning to exhibit products on platforms. These two shows have attracted more than 400 and 600 exhibitors respectively, with a total exhibition area of 116,000 sqm.

MWCS 2020 and IAS 2020 are core exhibitions of the 22nd China International Industry Fair (CIIF 2020). As the first national industrial exhibition held after COVID-19, CIIF 2020 has delineated 9 themed shows including MWCS and IAS, with an area of 245,000 sqm and over 2,000 exhibitors. More than 180,000 professional visitors are expected to make their presence.

According to data from National Bureau of Statistics of China, Chinese PMI in July was 51.1%, an increase of 0.2% comparing to the previous month. For 5 consecutive months, it has stayed above the threshold.
