Digital Life and Business & Production, Internet+ Powered by CEBIT 2018 is to kick off in October

Internet+ Powered by CEBIT 2018 is to be held at Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center on October 24-27, 2018. Themed with “Digital Life, Business & Production”, the expo will set up six sectors of “Internet Plus” Frontier Technology, Digital Business, Digital Life, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Intelligent Manufacturing & Robot, covering a total display area of 50,000 sqm with more than 10% increase. The expo will offer exhibitors and visitors more innovative products and better experience of the digital era. Based on the 656 exhibitors of last year, this year, the proportion of overseas exhibitors will continue to increase to an estimated 20%.  

During the NPC and CPPCC sessions concluded recently, Premier Li Keqiang pointed out in the Government Work Report that we should continue with our endeavor to promote Internet Plus by carrying out inclusive and prudent regulation, advancing the extensive application of big data, cloud computing and the Internet of Things, as well as pushing for the flourish of newly emerging industries and the transformation of traditional industries. He also mentioned that we should implement the “Made in China 2025” policy, promoting the accelerated development of major projects and advanced manufacturing including industrial foundation, intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing. The organizers said that as the leading professional exhibition of Internet+ technological achievements displaying and trading, the Internet+ Expo will promote the innovative development of the Internet, big data and artificial intelligence through its co-sharing platform. Guided by the two important national strategies of Internet Plus and “Made in China 2025”, the expo will offer human-machine cooperation, industrial networked products, smart products and integrated solutions to contribute to the transformation and upgrading of China’s traditional industries.  

Last year, the expo introduced the core resources and global network of CEBIT to offer the exhibitors an international top level platform for brand promotion, technical exchange and industrial cooperation. This year, cooperating with CEBIT again, the expo will introduce its two debuted themes: d!conomy and d!tec. As a new economic form, digital economy is becoming an important engine of driving economic reform in terms of its quality, efficiency and impetus. It is also a strategic highlight of current global industrial competition and new impetus of boosting real economy and accelerating its transformation and upgrading. d!conomy area will focus on digital office, workflow and data management, security, telecommunication, equipment and infrastructure, displaying the pragmatic solution and technology for enterprises and the government to realize business digitalization. d!tec area is committed to carrying out digital transformation of business models through revolutionary technologies and exploring the future of digitalization. 

As a successful example of “Made in China 2025” and the host city, Foshan is speeding up the development of digital economy and promoting the integrated development of the real economy and the digital economy. In 2017, the regional GDP of Foshan was 954.96 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 8.55%. Among them, computer, telecommunication and other digital equipment manufacturing industries registered a year-on-year growth of 16.9%. In the future, Foshan will develop additive manufacturing, high-performance medical apparatus, intelligent manufacturing equipment and automatic control system and other high-end manufacturing equipment, carrying out experimental programs of digital workshop and smart factory and promoting manufacturing industry to the development of digitalization, networking and intelligence. 

This year, the Intelligent Manufacturing and Robot areas will display the industrial network application plans as well as the achievements of the Industrie 4.0 model production line developed in collaboration with Hannover Robotation Academy. The Digital Life area will showcase a convenient, comfortable, safe and healthy life made by digital economy through smart home appliances. KUKA, Jia Teng, DJI-Innovations, HUAWEI, Midea, Baidu, Didi, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Universal Robots, Shanghai Hefu, iSoftStone, China Unicom, Sino-German Industrial City Alliance, Shunde Chamber of Cross-border Electronic Commerce and Hikvision as well as other domestic and foreign enterprises will showcase their latest smart products onsite. CEBIT selected pavilions, TÜV, German Chamber of Commerce, NRW Invest, Hanel, Datalogic, Fisher Logistics, Autodesk and other industrial leaders will bring unique achievements of “Industrie 4.0”. 

The China Intelligent Industry Summit and China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition will concurrently be held to fully support the construction of national manufacturing and Internet power. Many senior experts, academicians and entrepreneurs will be invited to discuss how to build a digital Foshan, accelerate the manufacturing industry’s transformation and upgrading directed by smart manufacturing, boosting newly emerging industries and promoting the further integration of industrial network, big data, artificial intelligence and real economy manufacturing industry.
