Promoting Green and Intelligent Industrial Development, Metal + Metallurgy China 2019 Completed with a Great Success

2019-3-16

In recent years, the green transformation and upgrading of China’s metal processing industry is imminent. The organizer said, as the industry benchmark for metallurgical foundry and industrial furnaces in China and the whole Asia-Pacific region, Metal + Metallurgy China is committed to promoting the high-quality development of the industries. The exhibition has set up a learning and communication platform for the majority of Chinese and foreign companies to implement industrial automation and green concepts in the production process of products, and comprehensively help build a green production supply chain.

Highly Participation in International Hall
The International Hall organized by Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai has once again become the highlight of the exhibition, featuring new sections like high-end castings, die castings, innovative technology, intelligent robots and green casting materials. 169 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions including America, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Japan, Italy, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, China Taiwan, and China Hong Kong, have brought a variety of innovative products around green production, intelligent manufacturing, and environmental protection and energy conservation, creating a high-end international trading platform.

Among them, Mingzhi Technology launched its new generation of integrated intelligent core unit MiCC300 for the first time, which attracted many media and audiences. This product adopts the unique new structure of each device required for integrated core-making, and is equipped with a new MiCL1.0 intelligent control system that meets the intelligent requirements of casting production, which will effectively reduce energy consumption and meet the needs of green intelligent production.

In addition to conventional unshaped refractories and prefabricated parts, Sino-Foundry Refractory also brought a complete set of transport bags, degassing and other supporting products. As an old exhibitor of the international hall for many years, SINTOKOGIO displayed small dust collector, electric servo cylinder, dust monitor and secondary filter as well as video showcasing of dust removal equipment, casting equipment, surface treatment equipment, automatic grinding equipment, low pressure casting equipment, projecting materials and self-hardening equipment. Savelli provided double-sided compaction molding line of box and complete set of sand treatment equipment that meet the European standards, along with design, renovation and technical consultation services of foundry workshops, and undertook a set of turnkey projects from non-standard design, manufacture, to installation and training. Mr. Ma Xiu, General Manager of MAGMA introduced the latest version of MAGMASOFT5.4 in live interview. MAGMA makes many efforts on localization and actively launches the Chinese version to further meet the demands of Chinese foundry users. Elkem specially brought Ultraseed® Zr/Bi inoculant and Preseed® pretreating agent. Ultraseed® Zr/Bi inoculant features excellent effect on increasing the number of graphite balls and reducing the whiteness and shrinkage, which is effective for hot metal produced by almost any spheroidizing process. Preseed® pretreating agent could effectively increase the nucleation rate and nucleation stability of molten iron, realize the consistency and make the performance of castings more stable.

Besides, leading enterprises such as Rongke, Pyrotek, Allied Mineral Products, MAUS, Kurtz, Calderys, Capital, Kao, Saint-Gobain, Cast, Insertec, FAIR and DEHONG, SICK MAIHAK, IMF, Wolong Sir, Jiesen, Changhua, Holmatro, SHENZHOU, KIMURA FOUNDRY, Scantech, Pangborn, Dr. Schenk, SHAPELINE AB/MICRO-EPSILON, RHX, Fill, Huazhongtiandi, EVOLUT, Zhenhu, Fondarc, KOYO, Nederman, BUTZ, JML-ViCon, WM Technologies, YUYANG INTELLIGENT, MTS Sensors China, Xinjingjie, Annex, Hidea, Thinks, FUJI ELECTRIC, Neotechnik, Eirich, Ziheng, Hawk-technologies, Nabertherm, international and China Taiwan exhibiting groups also brought unprecedented technologies and industrial innovations.

Eye-catching Robot & Automation Pavilion
With the continuous development of environmental protection policies, China’s foundry industry is accelerating its transformation and upgrading towards a green, intelligent and standardized industry. More and more domestic foundry enterprises begin to introduce automated production equipment and technologies, and some enterprises have begun to build intelligent foundry factories. In order to meet the increasing demand for intelligence and automation in the industry, this year’s International Hall has set up the Robot & Automation pavilion. More than a dozen robot and automation enterprises, led by ABB, have brought a variety of application solutions for additive manufacturing equipment.

Among them, ABB IRB 6700 large-scale robot uses highly integrated sand core handling fixture to lead casting automation; IRB 2600 robot integrates with the guide rail made of aluminum alloy, which can quickly and accurately locate the disordered objects in the material frame. Fill brought the latest vibration core removal machine SWING MASTER 500, which is a core breaker model dedicated to large casting with a load up to 500kg developed by Fill. The product combines the three functions of hydraulic hammer, vibration and turnover. On the basis of the vibration principle, the product is dedicated to achieving the maximum core removal capacity and the best core removal effect with the minimum maintenance guaranteed.

Many exhibitors from the Robot & Automation Pavilion gave positive feedback for the exhibition effect. Thomas Rathner, Chairman of Fill from Austria, remarked that as an old exhibitor of the International Hall, Fill is satisfied with the overall effect of the exhibition. Wang Tao, General Manager of WM Technologies, said that the biggest value of participating in Metal + Metallurgy China is to reach a large number of existing and potential customers through the exhibition. Wang Jiaming, Marketing Director of YUYANG INTELLIGENT, said that Metal + Metallurgy China has made outstanding contributions to “Made in China 2025”. It brings together the world’s founding elites so that enterprises can learn from and exchange with each other, jointly explore and forecast the future development direction of the industry, and promote cooperation.

Concurrent Activities to Support the Show
As an annual industrial exhibition that is becoming an event with world influence, a number of high-profile summit forums and professional events were held concurrently, which included Press Conference of China Foundry Association, Seminar on Southeast Asia Art Casting Technology and Market, Summit Forum on Chinese Automotive Lightweight and Energy Development Trend, Die Casting Match Making Program, Forum on Smart Factory and Die Casting Future, Seminar on Construction of Foundry Culture and Innovation Industrial Park, New Technology of Deep Treatment of Foundry Industry Pollution & Supply and Demand Match-making, Forum on Die Casting Standardization and Die Casting Lightweight Forum.

This year’s trade buyer groups covered the entire industrial chain including internal combustion engines, metal processing, auto parts, logistics and transportation. Nearly 1,000 buyers from Danieli, Baosteel, Zoomlian, Volkswagen, Daimler, Huaxiang and many other well-known enterprises visited the exhibition to discuss procurement and cooperation with exhibitors.

Metal + Metallurgy China 2019 was co-sponsored by China Iron and Steel Association, China Foundry Association, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society(CMES), Metallurgical Council of CCPIT, Industrial Furnaces Branch of CMES and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd. In order to conform to the industry’s needs for globalized development, Metal + Metallurgy China will be based in Shanghai from 2020, making full use of Shanghai’s advantages as an international metropolis to attract more international exhibitors and visitors. The next edition will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on May 13-16, 2020.
