Internet+ Powered by CEBIT 2019 themed on “Industrial Interconnection & Digital Intelligence” is to kick off in October

The fifth edition of Internet+ Powered by CEBIT (Internet+ Expo) will take place on 16-19 October at Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center in Foshan this year. Themed on “Industrial Interconnection & Digital Intelligence”, the expo will set up seven sectors of “Internet+” Frontier Technology, Digital Business, Digital Life, Innovation & Startups, Smart Manufacturing, Robotics, Robot Competition and Exhibition, to cover a total display area of 55,000 sqm, with an increase of 10% over the last year.

China is pushing ahead with the rapid development of emerging industries and promoting the Internet+ in all sectors. As a major manufacturing base in China, Foshan insists on "Internet + Intelligent Manufacturing", and promotes the deep integration of digital economy and real economy, helping the manufacturing industry move towards digitalization, networking and intelligent upgrading. 

In view of this, the "Internet+ Expo 2019" will capitalize on Foshan's superior geographical advantages and strong industrial foundation to implement the important strategy of the "Internet + advanced manufacturing industry” so as to drive the industry towards the high-end development.

At last year’s show, a batch of well-known enterprises brought a variety of eye-catching futuristic technology products and solutions and perfectly showcased the integration and application of Internet and traditional industries, including Phoenix, HARTING, Weidmüller, Yaskawa Midea, TUV, Honeywell, Sino-German Industrial City Alliance, Robotation Academy Foshan, Software AG, eBay, Baidu, Huawei, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, JDX, Midea Group, Shenzhen UAV Industry Association, UCA, UPA, Kingdee, CNET Telecom, Shunfeng, Hikvision, Foshan Rural Commercial Bank, Ji Hua Laboratory, Quotient Kinematics Machine, Huashu, Jaten, TT and LXD Robotics. As pointed out by Foshan officials, through the "Internet+ Expo", Foshan will further adapt to the development trend of "Internet +" worldwide, vigorously promote manufacturing enterprises to actively embrace the Internet and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.

Internet+ Expo 2019 will on this basis further introduce cutting-edge technologies, equipment and solutions at home and abroad, to showcase a variety of emerging industries and application modes in the era of industrial Internet, and promotes industrial transformation and upgrading with improved quality and efficiency, including Internet technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data and analysis, 5G and ultra-high speed wireless LAN, Internet of Things, augmented reality and virtual reality, face recognition, intelligent voice, gesture recognition, intelligent hardware technology, data center and storage solution, industrial Internet of Things, industrial automation, digital plant, industrial robot application solution, intelligent control system, man-machine collaboration, intelligent equipment, 3D printing, industrial networked products, intelligent manufacturing parts, intelligent manufacturing production lines, intelligent products and integrated solution.

After four years of development, the "Internet+ Expo" has become a representative industrial Internet exhibition in the field of China's digital economy, with increasing exhibition internalization and brand influence. The proportion of overseas exhibitors this year will keep growing to 22% approximately. The organizer will join hands with ZVEI again and plan to invite many German executives to attend the event, including Siemens, Phoenix, BMW, Weidmüller HARTING, TAL Manufacturing and TE Connectivity. Meanwhile, the German Pavilion is set up to jointly hold China-Germany (Foshan) Intelligent Manufacturing Cooperation Conference to  increase exchanges and sharing between China and Germany in "industrial Internet +" and "intelligent manufacturing".

Under strong support of BMWi, the Germany Pavilion will debut at this show, bringing the lineup of German industrial Internet application, intelligent manufacturing high-tech and solutions and building a cooperative platform between China and Germany. Capitalizing on advantageous resource of Deutsche Messe AG, the expo will introduce the “scale11”, which is a communication platform for startup enterprises to further strengthen commercial project pitch between investors and entrepreneurs. The sector will attract the participation of international start-ups, venture capital companies and start-up partners and show the achievements of international innovation and entrepreneurship onsite. At the same time, it will hold a series of activities to promote exchanges and expand business between China and international start-ups.

The organizer will continuously work with China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts as a strategic partner of the e-commerce section in “Digital Life”, invite large business platforms and e-commerce service platforms to bring the Internet+, especially the relevant achievements in the development of e-commerce, and present how the digital economy offers people a more convenient, comfortable and safe life.

During the show, China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition will be held. Several summit forums will invite many experts, academicians and entrepreneurs to discuss “Industrial Internet+ and Intelligence+” and explore how Foshan could accelerate the manufacturing industry’s transformation and upgrading based on smart manufacturing, develop new and emerging industries, and push for the further integration of Industrial Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and real economy manufacturing industry.
