MWCS 2019 & IAS 2019 Set up Industrial Technology Innovation Platform

The Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show (MWCS) 2019 and the Industrial Automation Show (IAS) 2019, jointly organized by Deutsche Messe AG and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., were successfully concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) today. As two major thematic shows under China International Industry Fair (CIIF), these two shows have set up sharing platforms for the industrial technology innovation, conforming to the quality development trend of advanced manufacturing industry. This year, MWCS and IAS attracted more than 600 and nearly 700 leading exhibitors at home and abroad, with exhibition area of 80,000 sqm and 70,000 sqm respectively. The five-day shows received 193,788 trade visitors from the world.

MWCS 2019 highlighted cutting-edge technologies in the field of equipment manufacturing, including a series of exquisite crafts from highly intellectual and fully flexible metal plate processing and production line and sophisticated precision measuring instruments to the assembly chain of digital manufacturing process of automatic transmission. As the authoritative trading platform of national equipment manufacturing industry and the main venue for new product releasing in Asia, MWCS 2019 has attracted many top brands in the world, including Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, Mazak, PrimaPower, Salvagnini, LVD, Mitsubishi, Murata, Han’s Laser, Yawei, Smart Prima,Lead, Bodor, Accurpress, Penta Laser, JFY, DNE, Hymson, Tianhong, BLM, IPG, Davi, Arku, Wila and Kasto. They not only demonstrated the advanced technologies of laser cutting, welding, punching, forming, robot, flexible production line, 3D printing, laser generator, dies, measurement testing and surface treatment in respect of sheet metalworking, metal processing and forming of pipes on the spot, but also brought a new product debut show that astonished everyone. Salvagnini, an outstanding representative of the world’s flexible sheet metal processing system, debuted its new PX multilateral bending center on the show. It can automatically complete multilateral bending with only one positioning. Mitsubishi Electric, the world’s leading manufacturer of electronic and electrical products, launched Astes4 automatic sorting machine that can perfectly solve the bottleneck of material sorting after processing in the laser processing machine production line in China. Mazak, the world’s leading machine tool manufacturer, launched its 3D laser pipe cutter FG-220 DDL with the latest DDL technology in China. Its electro-optic conversion rate is 40%-50%. Han’s Laser, the world-renowned manufacturer of complete automatic laser cutting and welding equipment, officially launched P6018D-I2000 full-automatic laser pipe cutting machine. The equipment adopts modular design, pays attention to humanization of operation, and shows the beauty of pipe cutting. Amada, a global comprehensive manufacturer of metal processing machinery, brought ENSIS-AJ (9Kw), an optical mode variable laser cutting machine, and EML-AJ, a laser punching composite processing machine...
 
During the show period of the MWCS this year, themed on “Enjoying the Creative World and Surging the Future”, the LMN 2019 China Laser Cultural & Creative Design Competition also made a resounding success. Hunan Dake Laser Co., Ltd. made a tribute to the 70th anniversary of China and won the gold award for its designed works of “Achievements in the Last 70 Years”.

Gary Liu said that at present, China’s industry is dominated by intelligent manufacturing and focuses on the construction of new infrastructure such as the international industrial Internet and artificial intelligence. The new generation of information technologies such as the Internet and big data are deeply integrated with the manufacturing industry. Traditional industries are undergoing transformation and upgrading. New industries are gaining momentum.

As a weathervane for the development of advanced manufacturing industry, IAS 2019 closely follows the new trend of industrial development, bringing together many domestic and overseas industry leaders within Booths 5.1H, 6.1H and 6.2H. Nearly 700 well-known brands including Siemens, Schneider, PHOENIX CONTACT, FESTO, BECKHOFF, Mitsubishielectric, OMRON, Panasonics, Delta, Rittal, Turck, Desoutter, IFM, BALLUFF, Weidmueller, WAGO, ELCO, P+F, ITEM, CODESYS, HIWIN, KINGVIEW, PILZ and Autonics have all appeared, bringing the production experience of intelligent factories and such technologies as “5G”, “AI”, edge computing, industrial cloud services, man-machine collaboration to be used in the whole process of intelligent manufacturing. Exhibitors came from more than 20 countries and regions such as China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Israel, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, China Taiwan and China Hong Kong, with more than 50% overseas exhibitors. Among them, Pilz, an international provider of complete automation technology, highlighted two products at the show: PIT mode fusion, which integrates access management system and security mode selection function, and PSENopt II, which can be applied to automobile, packaging technology, machine tool, steel and aluminum industries. IFM Electronic, a major manufacturer of electronic sensors in the field of industrial automation, brought a variety of new products such as its all-purpose SD calorimeter compressed air flowmeter, MVQ intelligent valve sensor for continuous position feedback and diagnosis, and O21 bar code/QR code reader, which is powerful and easy to operate. Wago, the inventor of spring pressure connection technology, brought a new Pro2 power supply with four advantages of high efficiency, communication, configurability and new ECB function, and a new generation PFC200 controller with 1 GHz Cortex AB processor and 512 MB RAM.

Zhihui Shanghai Innovation Leading - Digital Solution Forum and the Second Industrial "Smart+" Innovation Competition, which was held at the same time, invited outstanding enterprises related to digital solutions to share on site. For example, ABB, known as one of the “Four Families of Robots”, shared ABB Ability™ Smart Distribution Digital System Solution. WAGO discussed with the audience on the theme of “WAGO ‘One-Stop’ think tank enabling digitalization”. At the same time, nearly 20 forums and wonderful activities, including Application and Development Forum of High Speed Metal Cutting 2019, The 2019 (15th) MM•New•Automation Forum —Collaborative efficiency of interconnection integration, Enter the era of intelligent manufacturing 2.0, OPC Seminar Tour - IT Meets Automation Shanghai, were also held, contributing to the two wonderful shows and aiming at creating an all-round, multi-level and high-quality industry exchange platform. The organizers and industry associations also invited 106 professional buyer groups from various user industries such as construction machinery, agricultural machinery, packaging machinery, animal husbandry machinery, automobile manufacturing, cabinets, aerospace, rail transportation, pipeline air conditioning, elevator equipment, electronic products to visit the site.
