Higher-End, Smarter and Greener, MWCS 2023 and IAS 2023 Successfully Concluded

The Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show 2023 (MWCS) and the Industrial Automation Show 2023 (IAS), two core professional exhibitions under the 23rd China International Industry Fair (CIIF), successfully concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on 23 September. These two events were organized after a three-year hiatus, receiving positive response and wide participation from more than 700 quality enterprises at home and abroad respectively, including many of the world's Top 500 and industry leading enterprises and hundreds of specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprises. It registered an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters and 205,000 trade visitors present, an increase of 6.89% over the same period of the previous session.
On the first day of two exhibitions and the opening ceremony of the 23rd CIIF, Chen Jining, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Li Xiaohong, president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai Municipality gave speeches, and Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations gave video speeches. Prior to its opening, guest representatives including Chen Jining, Li Xiaohong and Gong Zheng paid a visit to CIIF, where they listened to the introduction of industry leaders about adapting to industry development trends and developing new-generation technology products, and conducted cordial exchanges with the heads of participating Chinese and foreign enterprises.
