Higher-End, Smarter and Greener, MWCS 2023 and IAS 2023 Successfully Concluded

The Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show 2023 (MWCS) and the Industrial Automation Show 2023 (IAS), two core professional exhibitions under the 23rd China International Industry Fair (CIIF), successfully concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on 23 September. These two events were organized after a three-year hiatus, receiving positive response and wide participation from more than 700 quality enterprises at home and abroad respectively, including many of the world's Top 500 and industry leading enterprises and hundreds of specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprises. It registered an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters and 205,000 trade visitors present, an increase of 6.89% over the same period of the previous session.

On the first day of two exhibitions and the opening ceremony of the 23rd CIIF, Chen Jining, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Li Xiaohong, president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai Municipality gave speeches, and Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations gave video speeches. Prior to its opening, guest representatives including Chen Jining, Li Xiaohong and Gong Zheng paid a visit to CIIF, where they listened to the introduction of industry leaders about adapting to industry development trends and developing new-generation technology products, and conducted cordial exchanges with the heads of participating Chinese and foreign enterprises.

Industrial manufacturing sector is regarded as a 'key target' for carbon emission reduction. The global industry is urgently facing a common issue of how to realize low-carbon development and digital transformation. These two events highlighted the latest developments and trends in the field of global advanced manufacturing, and unveiled nearly 1,000 new products and innovative technologies after three years of preparation, so that everyone onsite clearly felt the strong pulse of high-quality development of manufacturing. “At MWCS 2023 and IAS 2023, it’s quite a delight for us to see a myriad of quality exhibitors showcase their new materials and innovative technologies of automation and digitalization, and contribute to green development, while thoroughly implementing the low-carbon concept,” said Arno Reich, senior vice president of Deutsche Messe AG.

Delivering Fruitful Results, MWCS 2023 Explores the New Future of Sheet Metal Processing
The Internet, big data, cloud computing, new- generation artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies further promote manufacturing production, leading to rapid development of intelligent technologies of the CNC machine tool system. Boasting an exhibition area of about 80,000 square meters, MWCS 2023 has attracted 700 exhibitors, including 18 gazella companies, 23 single champions/hidden champions in manufacturing sector,  34 “little giant” firms, and 105 SRDI (Specialized, Refinement, Differential and Innovative) enterprises. Three exhibition areas of Laser Processing & Sheet Metal Stamping Technology, Metal Cutting & Additive Manufacturing Technology, and Machine Tool Supporting Functional Components and Peripheral Products respectively ushered in a diversity of new products of global and domestic debut. The exhibits displayed cover metal cutting, metal forming, laser processing, sheet metal stamping, machine tool supporting functional components and peripheral products.

IAS 2023, a significant component of CIIF, has attracted about 700 exhibitors to display exhibits on an exhibition area of over 70,000 square meters, and has built an international and professional platform for domestic and foreign industrial enterprises for brands to display new products and exchange new technologies. It has set up seven exhibition areas of Intelligent Manufacturing System Solutions, Motion Control Systems, Intelligent Sensing and Connectivity, Embedded Technology, Power Transmission, Measurement Technology and Instrumentation, Industrial Automation System Integration and Industry Solutions, in support of accurate matching between supply and demand and innovative development of global industrial equipment manufacturing.

HAIZOL X 23rd MWCS - Industrial Parts Sourcing Forum  pooled together a large number of persons in charge of procurement from automobile manufacturing, medical equipment, consumer electronics, mold manufacturing, precision machining and other industries for on-site matchmaking and negotiation with high-quality parts suppliers.
