CDIIF 2023 Breathes Life into Western China Industry

The 2nd Chengdu International Industry Fair (CDIIF 2023), guided by Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, supported by Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Exposition and Sichuan Tianfu New Area Management Committee and co-sponsored by DLG Exhibitions & Events Shanghai Industry & Commerce Exhibition Co., Ltd., Hannover Milano Fairs China Ltd., Sichuan Tianfu International Exhibition Group Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Pengcan Culture Media Co., Ltd., will take place at the Western China International Expo City on April 26-28, 2023.

Scale Expansion to Inject New Vigor to Economic Growth of Chengdu-Chongqing Region
CDIIF 2023 will provide a platform of higher quality for exchanges and cooperation among global partners in the manufacturing sector, highlight the application scenarios of new technologies and products in the manufacturing field nationwide and globally, demonstrate the interlocking characteristics of industrial chain and supply chain, and deepen cooperation and exchanges between the manufacturing enterprises in Sichuan Province and leading enterprises at home and abroad. Boasting an expected exhibition scale of 60,000 m2 for 650 exhibitors from all over the world, this event still themed on “Get New Technology First” has set up seven exhibition areas that cover key industries such as industrial automation, CNC machine tools and metal processing, robotics, new-generation IT and application (industrial Internet, AI, digital factories), new materials, energy saving and industrial support. Notably, the Sichuan Industrial Exhibition Area that accords with the new industrial system and the new-round energy level effect of Sichuan Province is specially set up. Albeit a market budget was cut in the past few years amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, exhibitors still reaped unexpectedly fruitful results at the first edition of CDIIF. Most of the participating industry leaders are still optimistic about the spillover effect of their participation in CDIIF 2023 for two reasons as follows. First, the role of Chengdu-Chongqing Region as the fourth driver of China’s economic growth is amplified by stronger synergy between domestic and international markets; second, the governments of Chengdu and Chongqing have unveiled many initiatives in support of economic recovery of the exhibition industry since this February. CDIIF will provide a crucial channel to expand the southwestern market, an effective platform to display core products, and a powerful magnetic field for more access to investment information. More and more exhibitors are gaining confidence in their conduct of business in the Chengdu-Chongqing market and the acceleration after the “pause button” also suggests greater impetus for the development of market entities.

Digital application scenarios integrating digital technology and the manufacturing sector displayed at CDIIF 2021 made one of the Expo’s highlights, which has received positive recognition from exhibitors and active feedback from visitors.
