MWCS 2020 and IAS 2020 Showcased China's Intelligent Manufacturing Power to Boost Confidence in Global Industrial Development
2020-9-19
The Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show 2020 (MWCS 2020) and Industrial Automation Show 2020 (IAS 2020), two core exhibitions of the 22nd China International Industry Fair, were concluded with a grand success on 19 September at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This great victory has pressed the button of reboot for the manufacturing demand in the post-pandemic era. More than 400 and 600 companies have respectively presented cutting-edge technologies for the entire industrial chain of metal plates and automated production on a total exhibition area of 116,000 sqm. 191,792 trade visits attended these international industrial events to have a personally experience.
Gary Liu, Managing Director of Hannover Milano Fairs China remarked that the exhibition will remain an important platform to promote technological exchanges in the industry and tap market potential in the post-pandemic era. This year we have seen on site that many well-known enterprises still chose MWCS and IAS as their global or Chinese platform to launch new products, which not only constitutes a high recognition and strong support for our exhibitions, but also emitted powerful signals that China's intelligent manufacturing could empower global industrial innovation and development with the help of exhibition platforms in a bid to boosting economic recovery.
MWCS 2020 is divided into three exhibition areas based on exhibit categories: laser processing and metal plate punching technology, metal cutting and manufacturing, and auxiliary and functional parts of machine tools. More than 400 well-known exhibitors including Trumpf, Bystronic, Prima Power, Salvagnini, Mitsubishi, Murata, Han’s Laser, Yawei, HG Tech, Smart Prima, Lead Laser, Accurpress, DNE, HSG, Deratech, Hymson, Penta Laser, Jinaolan, Chonglee, ACL, Jinqiang, IPG, Precitec, Raycus, Max, Lissmac, Wila, Stoeber, Henga, Siegmund, Atlanta, Chenlong and Chuangheng have displayed all sorts of high-end metal cutters and metal forming tools, as well as key functional components such as CNC, power and transmission and cutting tools.
In this group, TRUMPF displayed the TruLaser 3040 fiber 12kW (high-end laser cutter), TruLaser Tube 3000 (high-end laser pipe cutter), TruLaser Weld 5000 BE (welding robot) and TruArc Weld (robot arc welding workstation), all together four products debuted in China, under the theme of Rising up to Challenges and Sharing Opportunities. Dr. Stephan Mayer, Chairman of TRUMPF China came far away from Germany to share TRUMPF's latest strategy in China. Han's Group ranked the first in terms of its ultra-large booth area of 1,500 square meters at MWCS 2020 where it released to the world China’s first fully independently-developed fiber laser cutter, the LION 6021T series of laser tube cutter, along with a variety of impressive laser cutters, welders and automation system solutions. Bystronic concentrated on releasing fiber laser ByStar Fiber 4020/12kw, and automated laser loading and unloading system together with BySort sorting system, bending robot and other automation solutions. IPG brought its newly launched product — the YLR-U series of fiber laser in China.
Sticking to the general trend of automation, IT application, digitization, intelligence and green development, IAS 2020 has released dizzying new products this year. Over 600 famous enterprises including SIEMENS, PHOENIX, BECKHOFF, MITSUBISHI, OMRON, Schneider, Festo, IFM, SMC, DELTA, AUTONICS, Rittal, Balluff, Weidmüller, WAGO, ELCO, Pepperl+Fuchs, Item, CODESYS, Pilz, Leadshine, MOONS’, Schmalz, SCHMERSAL, KENGIC,LYRIC, DINKLE, Murrelectktronik, Baumer, ForceCon, Elmo, Rollon, HIWIN, KEYENCE, WAIN and Hongfa, have provided their advanced and high-end products and solutions of digital gene, automatic management, smart operation and maintenance and intelligent green manufacturing with the support of cloud computing, big data, IoT, mobile connection and AI.
In this long list, Pepperl+Fuchs staged the concept of Sensorik4.0® and made another shining presence to display to the industry a full range of new sensors and systems for Industry 4.0 applications, showcasing a one-stop digital and intelligent solution from the sensor layer to the cloud. A variety of refreshing Beckhoff products was revealed on site, including XPlanar planar magnetic levitation conveyor, machine learning and AI for integrated system, high-performance industrial PC embedded with AMD Ryzen processor, entry-level industrial PC CX7000 loaded with 400MHz processor and a new operating system TwinCAT BSD for Beckhoff industrial PCs, etc. Two blockbuster WAGO exhibits, WAGO SCADA and WAGO I/O System Field, excited all visitors. WAGO SCADA, an independent and controllable software platform specifically created for system manufacturers or integrators, provides one-time source code authorization and deep integration with third-party applications, and that the brand new WAGO I/O System Field, a future-oriented automation and network modular equipment, could work stably even under very harsh and brutal environmental conditions.
Multiple exciting thematic summits and procurement sessions have accompanied the exhibition. More than one hundred professional buyer groups from service industries of engineering machinery, packaging machinery, automobile manufacturing, chassis cabinets, aerospace, rail transit, air conditioning duct, elevator equipment, electronic products, have been embraced by these eye-catching international feasts, quite a pleasure for the manufacturing industry. MWCS and IAS are both organized by Deutsche Messe AG and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai. And the next session will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on 24-28 August, 2021.
